everyone needs a point zero

point zero des routes de france (pictured with me above) is 20m in front of notre dame cathedral in paris. it materialises the point where for centuries distances have been calculated between paris and other cities.

whenever i got lost while in paris last year (which i must admit was most of the time) i'd often think of point zero and try to figure out where it was to get my bearings..

so i've just decided that in terms of blogging, this post is my point zero. how exciting!
