a century of central

central station is 100 years old. no, i swear.

i know in the grand scheme of things, its such a baby.. but still. imagine all the changes to sydney that it must've witnessed.

it survived the great depression, saw the construction of the harbour bridge, the building of the opera house, the invention of vegemite, the movement of goldrush crazed people to rural areas, two world wars, the sacking of prime minister gough whitlam and it may have even helped mother and father dunn commute across town.

crickey lots has happened in the last 100 years.

gone are the days of a pleasant stroll down clean, tree-lined, un-asphalted sydney city streets on the way to catch your afternoon steam train which was right on schedule.

feeling perfectly nostalgic,
tash
