doin my usual morning thing, i was checking out 'snapshots' on the smh and to my suprise there was this image and caption:
Popular tourist attraction, Mount Moses in the Sinai Peninsula. According to the Old Testament, this is where Moses received the Ten Commandments from God.
i've been there! that woman could've been me! but they cunningly forgot to mention the sub-zero wind that mercilessly slices like blades of ice across your face as you climb the mountain, and the street vendors that pocket from this dramatic climate change at the base of the mountain selling scarves that say "Moses was Here". in an assortment of colours. not to mention the tourists that buy these scarves. and lets not forget the awesome man that tried to sell me a bit of shrub which he said was taken from the burning bush. awesome.
and here ends my rant about unacceptable modern-day exploitation of religious ideologies.
