1. the process of divesting oneself emotionally, in anticipation of a loss.
see, the highest score on adrian's bop it is 130 (held by isra, but let's not resent her for that).
and maybe i became slightly obsessed with beating that score. but i just couldn't do it. why? because i was engaged in a process of decathexis. something deep down inside me knew i wasn't pro enough to get 130 within one hour of learning how to play the game. and quite frankly, that put up barriers. walls. mountains, if you like.
i've decided to change all that. isra bought me my very own bop it (thank you is). and you see on my bop it there will be no high scores, unless i put them there.
and that is how i overcome my decathexis.

there is no way to describe, you just have to experience.
you'll all be happy to know that i have reached a new high score of 131.. as for isra's 159.. we'll see what my score is after a YEAR of practice.

Sean and I know what it is. We even posted a link in this discussion to a video of the blog owner operating the device (it was post number 7 for about 1 hour)but the blog owner decided the information should be SUPPRESSED. And for Sean's safety and mine (she knows where we live) it would be unwise for me to tell you exactly where you can find it in You Tube. Sorry.
