talking to a friend over msn last night.
his msn name mentioned that he was in egpyt, cool.
we start chatting. he tells me all about his trip so far. how he was lovin it. then:
tash: wow, you're so lucky.. sounds like an awesome holiday.
msn boy: it is a great holiday.
tash: when will we see you back home then?
msn boy: two years.
tash: did you just say two years?
msn boy: yep! i'm taking two years off to travel.
tash: did you just say two years?
do people DO that?! is it even allowed?

2 years? thats a little extreme, i mean yeh if you're working or something but.... just to travel like.. what? you'd get bored and poor very quickly.
or at least.. i would.
i think its important to take time out of regular life to travel and stuff, i'm sure he's gonna work or something to prevent his own poverty... but if we start a job and just do it everyday for hte rest of our lives we'll go insane- everyone needs a holiday! and time to chillax... even Shoghi Effendi says so:
"You should certainly safeguard your nerves, and force yourself to take time, and not only for prayer meditation, but for real rest and relaxation."
