well i just got pranked.. big time. it was so well orchestrated that i'm still dazzled.
one of my colleagues at work is notorious for pulling pranks.. usually i'm all over it it - but not today! i was so distracted with work (fancy that) that i didn't have any guards up.
so there i am typing away when i get an email from one of the administrative staff. the email said:
Tash, Please call:
Theresa Green re: your practising certificate card
Tel: 02 4987 16xx
Ta,
D
i didn't think anything of it, happens all the time.
so i get on the phone and dial the number:
*ring ring*
female: hello, royal botanical gardens
tash: hi, is this theresa?
female: no this is kate
tash: can i please talk to theresa green?
female: is this a trick question?
tash: no. i'm after theresa. theresa green.
female: [starts giggling]
tash: theresa green?
female: [still giggling]
tash: [penny drops] oooooooooh trees are green!! sorry!!
i don't know why it didn't click when she said royal botanical gardens.
at least the entire office had an amazing laugh.. at my expense.
it was a dumb prank anyway.

meanwhile, he did it to one of the admins too.. he got her to call toronga zoo and ask for "Mr Don Key".. now THAT was hilarious. she so didn't get it. she kept saying - no i'm after mr don key, DON KEY, nooo DON KEY!!

hehe, i loved this story, brilliant prank. i might have to try the donkey one on someone...but i should wait til they all know me better at work coz i'm the new one...they probably have pranks ready for me...
IM TOTALLY USING THAT!!
My best prank to date has consisted of me setting my collegues stationary in jelly. he was away interstate for a few days and I had permission from my boss to spend a day at work, making the jelly and setting the objects in them.
When he came back...there were lots of different colored jellies with lots of fun things in them!!
and the joke didn't stop there, everyone else jumped on the bandwagon.
i love my job :)
