well, i was fascinated to learn that the colour orange was actually named after fruit.

before the name for the colour was introduced to the english-speaking world, it was referred to as geoluhread. how shockingly ugly is that?

then apparently, the fruit orange arrived from some african country, and the old english people got a clue!
