i've served my time

it's my last day in private practice.

it has been 509 days since i started, bright-eyed and bushy tailed.

(accordingly, it has been 508 days since i have been bright-eyed and bushy tailed.)

so, technically, i've served:

43,977,600 seconds or

732,960 minutes or

12,216 hours or

72 weeks or

(this is the important one) 122 160 billable units.

and quite frankly, that's all the corporate world is getting out of me.

in the words of fall out boy: thanks for the memories.

no but really, thanks for the memories. i have learnt so much. too much. and i know that i will take that knowledge with me into the unknown (the unknown is sometimes referred to as the middle east).

ps i've never understood why lawyers measure life in 6 minute units. admittedly, i'm quite content that i will no longer be plagued by this confusion.
